Microsoft has released Windows 11 build 22000.176

Windows 11 is projected to roll out for the first devices in approximately a month, so in the meantime, Microsoft keeps refining the operating system with the help of preview builds shipped as part of the Windows Insider program.

A few hours ago, for example, the Redmond-based software giant rolled out a new Windows 11 build for insiders in the Beta channel, and unsurprisingly, there are a ton of fixes in there.

Windows 11 build 22000.176 is mostly focused on polishing the overall experience with the operating system, though Microsoft is also highlighting how users can choose what icons they want to see on the taskbar – this is a feature already available in Windows 11 preview builds, but Microsoft most likely wanted to make sure everybody knows exactly how to do the whole thing.

“People want to get closer to the things they love, faster. This is why commonly used experiences like Search, Task View, Widgets and Chat are pinned to the Taskbar in Windows 11. To manage which of these icons are pinned to the Taskbar in one place, simply right-click on the Taskbar and select “Taskbar settings” to open the Taskbar Settings page and choose which system icon to hide. If you hid any of these system icons previously and want to unhide them – you can do this via the Taskbar Settings page,” Microsoft explains.

More fixes and improvements

This build also comes with general fixes, including for errors experienced when trying to take photos with USB cameras, as well as Bluetooth LE devices improvements.

There are obviously several known issues, and you can check them all in the box after the jump, and hopefully, Microsoft still has enough time to resolve them all by the time the rollout to production devices would kick off in the first days of October.
