字节跳动加入开源专利社区 OIN

OIN （Open Invention Network）宣布字节跳动正式加入OIN社区。OIN开源发明网络由IBM、Red Hat等公司在2005年牵头创建，形成一个“专利非侵犯社区”，成员们同意互相交叉授权专利，同意不对从事基于linux的项目的公司宣称专利。中国的已加入的企业包括腾讯，百度，小米，华为，快手，长城汽车等。
OIN 首席执行官 Keith Bergelt 表示：很高兴字节跳动希望通过加入 OIN 来降低开源软件的全球专利风险，并展示其对开源领域协作创新和专利保护的承诺。字节跳动表示 Linux 和相近的开源软件是业务的关键要素。字节跳动将继续在核心 Linux 和其他重要的开源软件技术中提供专利保护支持。
