苹果发表新闻稿，宣布在支付方式上给与小型应用的开发者更灵活的选项。苹果称，“为帮助开发者更加灵活地触达顾客，Apple 将申明，开发者可以使用电子邮件等通信方式与用户共享 iOS App 之外的支付方式信息。和以往一样，开发者不需要因发生在他们的 App 或 App Store 之外的任何购买向 Apple 支付佣金。相关通信必须得到用户同意，且确保用户有权选择退出。”
