印度线上支付巨头PhonePe完成7亿美元融资，腾讯、老虎基金参投

据外媒报道，印度线上支付巨头 PhonePe 已经完成一轮规模为 7 亿美元的融资。该公司于 2020 年 12 月宣布开启此轮融资，并于 12 月成功获得首笔金额为 3.5 亿美元的融资。
此次的第二笔融资金额同为 3.5 亿美元，由沃尔玛领投，腾讯和老虎基金作为新投资方参投。完成此轮融资后，PhonePe 的估值将增至 55 到 57 亿美元，成为印度估值第二高的金融科技公司，仅次于 Paytm。
PhonePe 由 Sameer Nigam、Rahul Chari 和 Burzin Engineer 于 2015 年创立。2016 年开发了同名的移动支付 App，让用户可实时在线转账和支付。该公司在 UPI 系统（the Unified Payment Interface，由印度国家支付公司开发）中占据统治地位，其 7 月交易总量约为 14.9 亿次，远超排在第二位的 Google（11.2 亿次左右）。
PhonePe 将把此次所筹集的资金用于发展其在新加坡的业务，且或将进行收购。
为增加盈利，该公司一直努力打造超级 app 平台 Switch，并推动第三方共同基金、保险、数字黄金和其他金融产品问世。除此之外，PhonePe 还在最近获得董事会批准启动资产管理业务 (AMC) ，并有可能进一步寻求印度证券交易所（Securities and Exchange Board of India, SEBI) 的同意。
