1. Go to any Instagram Reels video and tap the Send button.
2. Select Add Reel to Your Story (iPhone) or Add Post to Your Story (Android).
3. On the Story preview page, tap and hold the video with two fingers—one on the upper side and the other on the lower.
4. Zoom out the video to fit perfectly fit the Story preview page.
5. Tap the Download icon in the upper menu to save the video. Instagram will save the video on your device almost immediately.

And that's how you save any Instagram Reels video to your device without using any third-party applications or websites.

You can find your video inside the Photos app on iPhone as it is saved to Camera Roll. If you're using an Android device, the video will be saved on the Instagram folder.
