两名美国共和党议员 Rand Paul 和 Marjorie Taylor Greene 因为多次发表新冠的错误信息而分别被 YouTube 和 Twitter 禁言七天。YouTube 删除了参议员 Rand Paul (R-Ky.)的一则视频，他在视频中称口罩不能有效的防止新冠的传播。而 Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.)声称疫苗或口罩都不能降低新冠的传播。Paul 是第二次违反规定因此被 YouTube 禁言七天，而 Greene 是第四次违反被 Twitter 禁言一周，如果她再次违反账号将会被永久关闭。疫苗和口罩都有助于减少新冠的传播。
