Percona Distribution for MySQL 8.0.25 (PS-based variant)

On July 13, 2021, Percona Distribution for MySQL 8.0.25 (PS-based variant) was released. It is a single solution with the best and most critical enterprise components from the MySQL open source community, designed and tested to work together. This release is based on Percona Server for MySQL 8.0.25-15.

Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL

On July 15, 2021, we released updated versions of Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL. They include the RPM package for python3-python-etcd for CentOS 7. This package is a Python client for ETCD and is used by Patroni to communicate with ETCD storage.

Percona Server for MySQL 8.0.25-15

We released Percona Server for MySQL 8.0.25-15 on July 13, 2021, and includes all the features and bug fixes available in the MySQL 8.0.24 Community Edition and the MySQL 8.0.25 Community Edition in addition to enterprise-grade features developed by Percona. Along with improvements and bug fixes, there are new features in this release, including functionality to expose defined data from procfs for agentless environment, and INPLACE ADD|DROP partitions in MyRocks.

Percona XtraDB Cluster 5.7.34.31.51

On Monday, July 19, 2021, Percona XtraDB Cluster 5.7.34.31.51 was released.  Along with several bug fixes, erroneous documentation on Bootstrapping XtraDBCluster was fixed (Thanks to user Craig Fisher for reporting this issue) and there is now a warning logged at startup if a keyring is specified, but cluster traffic encryption is turned off.

ProxySQL 2.1.1 and proxysql-admin

On July 9, 2021, ProxySQL 2.1.1, released by ProxySQL, is now available for download in the Percona repository along with an updated version of Percona’s proxysql-admin tool. Note – An upgrade from ProxySQL v1.x to ProxySQL v2.x requires the user to manually remove the ProxySQL v1.x packages. After that operation, the user can install ProxySQL v2.x.
