When I look for a company to work for there are some main things I consider important.

1. Culture: Everyone in the interview process was extremely nice, kind, and smart. I realized in every conversation I had, from the recruiter to the hiring manager and the panel, I clicked with everyone. Work is where we spend most of the day, and I work more efficiently and feel happier where I share values, way of work, and culture with everyone. The hiring manager for me was also a huge part of my "why", and still today I feel happy joining and being under this leadership.
2. Great product-selling experience management is definitely interesting!
3. The opportunity to learn, do different things, or take different internal roles. The company is growing and together with it, all of us.

What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?

The people I talked to in the interview process. 

You've been with Qualtrics for a little while now. How has Qualtrics lived up to your expectations? How has it been different?

I've been here for a little over a month. Expectations have been met with all the Qualtrics people. In my region, we still have a lot of dominance from SAP, which has a different culture. But I am sure this will be changing in the coming days.

What was the turning point where you knew you 'had to have the job' at Qualtrics?

The people I met. My first turning point was the LAC recruiter, whom I liked a lot and he was very passionate about the company.

What does your day look like?

Zoom calls, nowadays it's all we can do! I have several meetings with partners, consulting firms, and prospects that could potentially become part of our ecosystem. Internal meetings to make sure we are all aligned to the same goals. The objective overall is to drive business through our ecosystem.

What is your favorite part of your role?

Building something. Having the opportunity to contribute to the creation of an Ecosystem for Q in my region.

Any tips for someone who is considering a role at Qualtrics? Or advice for someone looking to get into a career like yours? Tips for someone in general?

If you are into creating, building, and getting your hands on things, this is for you. This is no place to "manage" or "administer" something, but a place to create, build and get across different things.

What has surprised you most about working at Qualtrics?

How big the structure is for Latin America, considering how long the presence here has been.

What made you want to get into sales?

Building and creating long-term relationships in order to accomplish sales goals.

What are your aspirations in your career/life?

To always learn something, keep growing, and keep entertained. Eventually learning to manage people or manage a different region, when I feel like I've already filled my role.

What is your top #LifeHack?

Have fun. Don’t take things too seriously.

What 3 words would you use to describe Qualtrics to someone?

Fun, in growth/building mode.

How do you feel you've been able to apply what you studied at school to your career?

What I studied definitely led me to work in tech. About my current role, I feel that what studies give you at the end, is the ability to solve a problem or structure the way you think in a certain way. Engineers approach a problem in a very different way than a lawyer, although both reach an answer, they take different paths. In the end, all jobs are about solving things.

What's a myth about your type of job that you'd like to bust? Or about working at Qualtrics?

That there is little structure, processes, or support. I've been hearing this from people that come from very big, established, and old (more than 30-40), companies. But for a company the size/age of Qualtrics, I feel that we are in a very good place, honestly.
