Rename Multiple Files in Mac

Rename multiple files would cause a lot of pain to many people. Lucky for macOS users, that the batch renaming capabilities are integrated into Mac’s Finder. This article shows a short tutorial on how to do it which you can follow instantly.

Step 1: Select All Target Files to Rename.

Just open the Finder and browse to the location of your files. Select all files you want to rename and right-click and click on Rename…

Step 2: Set the Rename Pattern

You can select the rename pattern you desire. Here are some examples:

Replace some texts:

Re-format file name with new custom name and index:
