近日在美国众议院金融服务委员会有关加密货币的听证会上，美国国会议员Anthony Gonzalez强调通过加密货币洗钱的数量远不及法币。Gonzalez表示：「关于就反洗钱问题而言我们是否应该允许加密货币存在的评论，我想问，这与什么相比？与99%的洗钱都未受到起诉的法币相比吗？”而SWIFT 2020年9月的一份报告指出，与通过传统方法洗钱的数量相比，使用加密货币洗钱的案件数量“仍然相对较少」。（Decrypt）
