New flagship content and hands-on learning features were announced at ACG’s first Community Summit.

Our first-ever ACG Community Summit is underway! If you missed day one, you missed a whole lot of cloudy goodness, including hands-on challenges, deep dives, live learning, and llamas. Oh, and a handful of announcements around new features and courses at ACG.

What’s new?

ACG is rolling out three new features and two new courses.

New hands-on learning features make it even easier for learners to master cloud skills. For businesses, they’ll better empower your workforce to build faster, better, and cheaper in the cloud. The course changes are in the form of major refreshes to two of our most popular courses: the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CCP) and the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate (CSA-A).

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CCP)

• Not sure where to start on your AWS certification path? We recommend our AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner course as the best place to start for anyone who’s new to cloud computing.
• The new CCP course is from Kesha Williams and incorporates ACG’s latest teaching practices to deliver an even more effective cloud learning experience for certification prep. The course now includes more hands-on labs and a new interactive presentation format to help guide learners through cloud fundamentals.

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate (CSA-A)

• ACG’s most popular course gets even better with the addition of even more hands-on learning tools. Our updated CSA-A course from ACG co-founder Ryan Kroonenburg features more Hands-On Labs, including one of our new Challenge Mode labs.
• For anyone new to cloud computing, we recommend our AWS Solutions Architect – Associate course as the next best step after you’ve gained your AWS Cloud Practitioner certification.

Challenge Mode for Hands-On Labs

• Put those cloud skills to the test with unguided lab challenges. Our Challenge Mode Hands-on Labs validate technical skills in real-world scenarios, without the support of an instructor.
• Looking for step-by-step guidance as you develop a new skill? Get started with Guided Mode labs. Think you’re already a guru? Skip the instructions and test your expertise with new Challenge Mode labs.

• Ready to sit an exam? Prepare to get certified with practice exams that mimic the real thing with integrated Practice Exam Labs.
• Demonstrate relevant skills by completing objectives for a given scenario in a real cloud environment.
• Get insight into lab objectives passed or failed.
• Practice using an exam interface that’s close to the real thing, so you’re more comfortable when you sit for the exam.

Mobile App Accessibility

• New mobile app features make it easier to learn on the go. Turn on subtitles, view and search for terms within course transcripts, adjust playback speed and video quality, and stream to compatible devices using Chromecast or Airplay.
• With these changes, we’re providing a consistent learning experience across any device. (Well, you know — any device with internet. Obviously.)
