From now through July 8, the game is up to 75% off

Dying Light fans and newcomers to the series rejoice! Developer Techland has just announced a couple of incentives for those who love the universe and want to deep dive into the dark, gritty world of Dying Light one more time before the sequel arrives later this year.

First off, a new in-game event will be available starting July 1 and through July 11. The event that celebrates American Independence, also known as the 4th of July, will now give Dying Light players the opportunity to let loose with fireworks.

Bear in mind though that these aren't mundane fireworks, as they can be used to kill infected. For every 50 infected killed with fireworks, players will receive a random Gold Melee Weapon, while players working toward the global objective of 10,000,000 infected kills with fireworks will earn 3x King Mods.

Each day, players are allowed to collect five fireworks from the Quartermaster, so the more people participate in the event, the faster the goal will be achieved. But wait, there's more!

A new gamer-themed skin pack for Dying Light is now available to purchase for those who'd like to spice up their time in Techland's game. The Savvy Gamer Bundle gives players a chance to unleash their inner nerd and wield DIY gamer-gear-themed weapons, such as an RGB-LED outfit, and burn rubber in a brand-new 1337 buggy skin.

Just like every previous piece of content released by Techland, the new pack will be available for purchase on PC and consoles for $2.99. Here is the full list of new skins available in the bundle: RGB AXE-Pad (a one-handed axe with added shock damage on consecutive hits), Next-Gen Maul (an epic two-handed hammer that deals shock damage during charged attacks), Bow (“LED Meta Bow”), Player Outfit (“1337 G4m3R Outfit”), and Buggy Skin (“4wheelz”).

Last but not least, from June 24 to July 8, gamers can pick up Dying Light at a reduced price during the Steam Summer Sale. The Standard Edition will be available at 66% off, the Enhanced Edition will be discounted by 70%, and the recently released Platinum Edition (The Savvy Gamer Bundle not included) will be 75% cheaper.
