Sorry, we replaced that old technology, "see-through glass," with these great new "smart screens" that allow you to see what's inside (except when they don't). Also, ads.

Turns out that Monster energy drinks are found in the "no content" door.
Oh, and also rest assured that they're definitely NOT using their cameras for facial recognition.
About half of the doors weren't working properly. Another shopper stopped and looked at me and said "this is so stupid. what is the point of this?"
Ironically, he was wearing his mask around his chin, so he of all people should know about stupid things with no point.
The absolute irony of them saying that "transparency" is one of the things they're founded on...
As suspected, these things are just another way of selling and delivering ads.
