白宫表示，美国总统拜登周四将宣布，计划采购 5 亿剂辉瑞新冠疫苗并捐赠给 92 个中低收入国家和非洲联盟，同时呼吁世界各国尽自己努力帮助结束疫情。拜登将在英国康沃尔召开的七国集团(G7)会议前宣布疫苗捐赠计划，这将是单个国家的最大捐赠规模。白宫称，该计划意在“支持全球抗击新冠的行动”。华盛顿还将采取行动支持其他国家当地的新冠疫苗生产，包括通过与日本、印度和澳洲的“四国机制”来实现。
