程异谈翻译英培安小说

程异说：“翻译本地作家的作品感觉比较亲切，而且有一种责任感，因为本地作品很容易在国外被忽略，需要本地译者翻译、推荐。”

他翻译了英培安《骚动》与《戏服》，也担任英培安小说集《不存在的情人》（吴明珠译，城市书房出版）的编辑。程异会翻译英培安的小说，是机缘巧合在2012年新加坡作家节前导活动“优剧”，观看《画室》剧场版的试演。

本地英文小说家、翻译家程异（Jeremy Tiang）曾翻译严歌苓（美国）、李洱（中国大陆）、陈浩基（香港）、苏伟贞（台湾）等华文作家作品，也曾翻译本地华文作家英培安、尤今与王润华的著作。对他来说，翻译本地文学作品，多了一重责任感。（来源）
