Huh. I seem to remember enjoying your comments on Lobsters at least. I was going to look at your comment history to see what could possible cause this, but apparently deactivating erases it.
When I deleted my account, I'm pretty sure I did not tick the box to disown my comments. I wasn't trying to hide anything. But it looks like Lobsters did indeed disown all of my comments.

The same thing happened to me. Any time I talk about async rust I get mobbed by the ideologues. When I dm'd a http://lobste.rs mod about it I never got a response.
I noticed something similar recently. I didn't realize it was such a hot topic...

I briefly engaged with stuff on lobsters and got the impression that lobsters was for people who for some reason needed *another* Orange Site in their lives.
I'm far from convinced that the correct number of Orange Sites is even >0, but it's definitely not >1.
I would posit it's the opposite. Complaining about HN is a beloved pastime.

Looking at that discussion, people seem to be saying that he ought to sleep on it, or not take it seriously, but come on, that banner is literally telling him he doesn't have standing in the community, and implies that it's his own fault. I'd leave too.
