Samsung Notes Android App Surpasses One Billion Download Milestone

Samsung Notes is the most recent Android application released by the South Korean tech giant that has crossed the one billion installs threshold in the Google Play Store.

As reported by AP, this only applies to the default app store on Android, so in theory, there’s a good chance Samsung Notes has actually been downloaded many more times, especially because it’s also available in Samsung’s own Galaxy Store and also as a standalone APK installer.

The good news is that Samsung’s apps are becoming much more popular for Android users, with several of its apps already crossing this important threshold, including Samsung Internet and Samsung Email.

The stylus revolution

Samsung Notes is the app that allows users to make the most of the stylus support on their Samsung devices, and needless to say, the addition of an S Pen to the Galaxy S21 Ultra contributed to this important achievement.

But the South Korean company doesn’t want to stop here, as the S Pen would make its way to more devices in the coming years.

We’ve made the bold decision to expand the S Pen experience to Galaxy S21 Ultra, and plan to expand the S Pen experience across additional device categories in the future. On the other hand, the Galaxy Note, which is the device that pioneered the S Pen in Samsung’s device lineup, wouldn’t get a refresh this year, with the company to possibly roll out an upgraded model in the summer of 2022.
