This book has a number of solutions to many common iOS graphic based endeavours. I've used it to make apps look and run better. It has ways of handling layers, masks, different forms of animations from using paths to keyframe. And how to develop efficient code that's memory and processor friendly.

The examples are easy to follow and implement save your knowledge of iOS development on objective c. No idea if there's a swift version and f there is, it will be my next purchase.
