这二者对于学生来讲联系太紧密了，尤其是低年级学生，前者几乎完全决定后者：学到哪儿算哪儿。今天发此感慨，系找寻时间序列资料所致。本科的时候时间序列课用 Wei 的书作为教材，而且只讲了 8 章，这 8 章学得稀里糊涂倒不说，关键是后面还有 Time Series 中很漂亮而且很重要的内容一点都没提，诸如 Frequency Domain、Kalman Filter、State Space，等等。前 8 章的分析都是基于时域（Time Domain），因此我们对于频域（Frequency Domain）一无所知。这真是一件可怕的事情。那时候数学分析中 Fourier 分析等内容都活生生浪费掉了。这就又继续造成一系列恶果，比如小波分析（Wavelet）等，又是一无所知。
所以上课跟着老师走是远远不够的。要开阔眼界。否则几年下来，一代不如一代。
