To the glory of consciousness in the freezing universe.
从虚空中的一场大爆炸开始，一切起于混沌，最终也将归于混沌，宏伟的事物静静发生，也静静消亡。但在时间与物质湍流的某些漩涡中，一些转瞬即逝的局部结构竟意识到了整体的存在：它们看到了光，触到了热，感恩过日出，敬畏过海洋。宇宙并不为谁而生，它冰冷的演化却被其中的某些暗中潜藏结构见证了：如一场孤独的演出多出了几个藏在一旁的观众，像一片片玻璃反射出孤寂的整片星空。
这些“见证”勾勒出我们称之为生与死的边界：几乎所有的一切都是死的，但其中寥寥的生，如星星点点的萤火，轻轻地照亮黑暗中的小小一片领域。
