三星表示，已经冲击到全球汽车制造商的全球半导体短缺，也可能干扰应用于智能手机的内存芯片的订单。芯片代工厂急于满足汽车芯片的需求，意味着许多代工厂如今都处于满负荷运转状态，限制了它们接受新订单的能力，这反过来可能会减缓移动设备芯片的交付。最大芯片代工企业台积电表示，该公司正在“加速”生产汽车相关产品，以满足汽车制造商的需求。三星也在考虑紧急扩张芯片代工制造产能。
