据澎湃新闻消息，针对此前美国货币监理署（OCC）宣布银行可以使用稳定币进行支付，区块链和加密数字资产研究者谷燕西在接受采访时表示，结合几天前美国总统金融工作小组的声明，这表明美国监管认可并鼓励稳定币的使用推广。美国商业银行因此可以不必在合规方面有顾虑地开展稳定币的相关业务。谷燕西预测，在2021年，会有更多的美元稳定币推出，会有美国商业银行成为Diem（原Facebook天秤币）的协会成员。他说：“美元稳定币正在成为加密数字金融世界中的主导货币。”
