Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Now Getting One UI 3.0 with Android 11

By Dave LeClair 2 days ago

Samsung hasn't forgotten about its Note 10 series of phones after all.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 owners were patiently waiting for One UI 3.0 with Android 11 to come to their devices, and Samsung has finally delivered.

As first reported by SamMobile, Samsung has started rolling out One UI 3.0 with Android 11 to devices in the Galaxy Note 10 series. This includes both the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+.

If you've been patiently waiting to experience all the goodness that Android 11 (with Samsung's modified version, of course) brings to the table, you won't have to wait much longer. The rollout started in Germany, and we'd expect a full rollout to begin shortly.

What Does Android 11 Bring to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10?

You'll get all of the standard Android 11 features such as chat bubbles, app-specific permissions, the improved notification shade, and other enhancements. Our article on the best Android 11 features breaks down the general goodies offered by the latest version of the OS in detail.

The 8 Coolest New Features of Android 11

Android 11 is here; let's find out what it brings by checking out the coolest features.

Of course, because this isn't the pure Android 11 experience, Samsung brings plenty of its own goodies to the latest version of One UI. There are improvements to the always-on display, which is always welcomed.

Samsung has ramped up its accessibility options by adding quick access to the most important accessibility settings to the device setup process.

Bixby also sees some improvements in One UI 3.0. For example, you can set preset Bixby Routines with Samsung's personal assistant, which should streamline using it.

The Calendar app has received some improvements as well. For example, it can now group events with the same start and end times are shown together in Agenda and Month views. The add and edit events have been reorganized too.

Those are just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the One UI 3.0 update. If you want to read the complete changelog, SamMobile has everything you need to know. It's hard not to be excited if you own a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 or Galaxy Note 10+.

Not only do you get all of the Android 11 features, but the update also comes with the December 2020 security patch, so you'll get some extra safety with your device.

It's My Update, and I Want it Now!

As mentioned, the update has started rolling out in Germany, so it could take a little while before it comes out in your country. Depending on how far along Samsung is in the localization process, it could take up to a couple of weeks before it launches everywhere else.

If it's not there yet, keep checking the update section of your device. It won't make it come any faster, but it'll give you something to do until it arrives.
