Finally got to try out my new 12 Pro Max on a portrait photoshoot yesterday. I took 11 photos in portrait mode and took two HDR 4k 60fps video clips, one was 19 seconds, the other was 15 seconds. Phone warmed up and the screen went so dark I could hardly see it outdoors. Brightness slider did nothing, even maxed out. Let the phone sit for about 5 minutes, picked it up again, same thing. Shut it down, waited a few minutes and powered it back up and it was back to normal. The rest of the time, I shot portrait mode photos and 1080p 30fps video and it was just fine.

This is very concerning that the phone is going into some kind of safe mode after only 11 photos and just over 30 seconds of 4k video. Thats ridiculous to be honest. It never actually shut down on me, but probably would have had I kept shooting in HDR 4K. In the phone's defense, it was 90 degrees Fahrenheit and I was shooting towards the sun, but still. Not happy at all because that means this phone will be useless for any kind of outdoor shooting in 4K HDR for more than a few minutes. Not good.
