华尔街日报援引知情人士的消息报道（付费墙），阿里巴巴创始人马云在 11 月初试图修复他与监管部门关系时，曾提议将蚂蚁集团部分移交出去。知情人士表示，马云提及：蚂蚁的这些平台，只要有需要都可以拿走。这次会面发生在 11 月 2 日，距离蚂蚁集团原计划上市日期只剩几天时间。后来被叫停的蚂蚁集团 IPO 本来会是全球最大的上市交易。
