Google has announced Web RTC but has forgotten a few useful details.
Web RTC is about defining client-side APIs to enable Real-Time Communications in Web browsers.
There was a RTC Worskop in October 2010 with participants from many companies.
In May 2011, a W3C Web RTC Working Group has opened. You can read about the work scope in the charter. There is a public mailing list. For Opera, Richard Tibbet is participating.
As well, the IETF RTC Working Group has been opened with a work scope and a public mailing list
