AI robot co-pilots US military spy plane in world first

After takeoff, the controls were handed off to Artuμ, named after Star Wars droid R2-D2, which was put in charge of sensor systems

The AI algorithm, known as Artuμ, flew this week alongside a human pilot on a U-2 Dragon Lady spy plane assigned to the 9th Reconnaissance Wing at Beale Air Force Base in California.
