The power to find your inner suspicions

Yesterday's post about acquiring and maintaining a band of minions seems to have caught the attention of a great many people. The comments are rolling in on Hacker News, and a lot of people think I'm talking about Google.

Go back and look. There's no mention of Google anywhere in that post. Anyone who's making that connection is doing it entirely on their own. I didn't even do the nudge-nudge-wink-wink thing of calling them "Go Ogle" (the real name for "Glass") in that post.

Some posts manage to capture the internal mappings of the reader. To see what I mean, go see this post from last year: "From powerhouse to meh"

So, if you're thinking about That Place (see, I did it again) as a result of reading my purposely spun-up plans for being evil, I think it might say more about your opinion of them than anything else.
