NZ COVID Tracer app
NZ COVID Tracer helps you protect yourself, your friends, your whānau and your community by enabling faster contact tracing.
Latest version: The latest version of the NZ COVID Tracer App (version 3.0) was released on 10 December and will allow Bluetooth tracing. This is a significant step in supporting our contacting tracing efforts and staying safe over summer. Read more about Bluetooth tracing.
NZ COVID Tracer is a Ministry of Health app that allows you to create a digital diary of places you visit by scanning the official QR codes, and it uses Bluetooth to help alert people you may have been near if you do test positive for COVID-19. This gives contact tracers a headstart with identifying anyone who may have been exposed to COVID-19 so we can quickly break the chain of transmission.
You can download the app in the Apple App Store or from Google Play.
