Express yourself with Java 8
The new language features in Java 8 are not just useful for functional programming style and streams. They give us new tools to create concise yet expressive code for modeling domain problems. Fed up of implementing equals/hashcode/toString/getters/setters and having a 100 line class for a simple type with one or two fields? Want to avoid the boilerplate while still having expressive types? Perhaps you long for language features like pattern matching that make working with types easier? Then this talk is for you. We’ll see how life doesn't have to be this way, even in Java, if we’re willing to shed a few years of tradition and make a few changes to our coding style.
