10月13日，“粤澳呼吸道病原体新药联合研究中心”第四次理事会白云山板蓝根澳门转化研讨会暨合作签约仪式在广州举行。会上，共和国勋章获得者、中国工程院院士钟南山透露，联合研究团队系统开展了一系列南药抗新型冠状病毒的体外药效筛选，发现复方板蓝根颗粒和口炎清颗粒等显示出体外抑制药效。
