除了5nm外，台积电还在华为生产更多7nm芯片，以保证更多的手机使用，因为目前华为旗下手机销售主力主要还是集中在搭载7nm工艺处理器的机型上。8月23日消息，据产业链最新消息称，华为将在下个月发布新的旗舰版麒麟处理器，其基于台积电5nm工艺，而它也将会是全球最先推出5nm移动芯片的厂商，这要比苹果至少快近一个月时间，后者的A14处理器同样基于台积电的5nm工艺。
