中国科学家发现农作物能吸收微塑料
中国科学家在《Nature Sustainability》期刊上发表论文，报告微塑料可以被农作物吸收并进入其可食用部位。塑料污染正成为整个地球表层生态系统最严重的威胁之一。“土壤中的微塑料可能是一个更严重的环境问题。”论文通讯作者骆永明研究员表示，“污泥和塑料地膜是土壤微塑料的两大来源，污水处理厂收集的生活污水、工业废水和雨水也都含有塑料，水体中和大气中的微塑料都能导致土壤中微塑料的积累。”骆永明带领团队，通过废水水培试验和模拟废水灌溉的沙土培养试验，发现尺寸在亚微米级甚至是微米级的塑料颗粒都可以穿透小麦和生菜根系进入植物体，并能在蒸腾拉力的作用下，通过导管系统随水流和营养流进入作物地上部可食用部位。
