经典电视剧《春光灿烂猪八戒》将被翻拍，预计将于今年十月在横店影城开机，拍摄周期为二十二天。据悉翻拍版本将全部启用新人，目前正在处于演员招募阶段，招募角色包括猪八戒、小龙女、太白金星、猫妖、东海龙王等角色，不知道这部“童年回忆”电视剧届时翻拍出来口碑如何。
