OnePlus Pay system is here – see what it has to offer

At the launch of the OnePlus 7T series of mobile phones on September 26 last year, OnePlus announced that it would unveil its mobile payment system in 2020. According to inside sources, OnePlus Pay will first arrive in China. Subsequently, it will move to other markets like India and the US. At the time of the announcement, the company was very stingy with details. It did not part with any other information apart from the name and perhaps the release time which it gave as “sometime next year”. Now, OnePlus mobile payment platform is active in China.

OnePlus Pay system supports only three Chinese bank cards for now

According to speculations, the OnePlus Pay function will arrive on the OnePlus 7T series in March. Other models are still in the pipeline and will get this feature later. Recent information from AwerTiger, claims that the OnePlus Pay system is now active. Although OnePlus is yet to officially announce this feature, ITHome confirms OnePlus Pay in the “Wallet” App of OnePlus 7T Pro. At present, the payment platform supports few bank card types. It supports the savings cards of Guangfa Bank, Minsheng Bank, and SPDB, and the credit cards of Guangfa Bank and SPDB. Users of OnePlus 7T Pro may want to check the wallet app for this feature. If you are using another model, the feature is coming soon.

Bank cards that OnePlus Pay support for now

Mobile payment is very popular in huge markets like China, India and the US. The likes of Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, and others all have their mobile payment system. Although OnePlus announced its mobile payment platform in India, it doesn’t seem like the feature will focus on India. Starting from its home town, China, will be a good strategy. Though the payment platform has been spotted in China, the company is not saying anything about it.
