Providing developers with a great API has always been an essential part of GitHub, and this is why the GitHub Developer Program has been an integral way for developers to get feedback and test their integrations. These same integrations have grown into some of the more notable projects within the GitHub Ecosystem, such as PullPanda, Dependabot, and more.

Over the past few years, the GitHub Developer Program evolved to serve the needs of so many developers. But we realize that the program has not met the expectations for all of its members.

Effective immediately, the GitHub Developer Program will no longer be accepting new applicants in preparation for new programs at GitHub. We will also no longer be creating or renewing GitHub Developer Program (GDP) test licenses. If you have questions or concerns about this change, please reach out to us at [email protected] .

We look forward to continuing our support for so many great GitHub integrators. Stay tuned for our future programs and initiatives.
