去年9月，在美国加利福利亚州圣何塞举办的“Intel Innovation”峰会上，英特尔CEO帕特-基尔辛格（Pat Gelsinger）在创新主题演讲中，介绍了未来两年的客户端处理器路线图，确认了Panther Lake将会在2025年到来。上个月，Panther Lake测试工具已经出现在英特尔官网，或用于早期参考评估平台。
据TechRadar报道，帕特-基尔辛格在2024年第一季度财报电话会议上表达了对英特尔人工智能（AI）方面的信心，确认下一代Lunar Lake和Arrow Lake将在今年晚些时候推出，AI性能将是Meteor Lake的两倍，同时还提到Panther Lake有望在2025年中旬发布，AI性能将在Lunar Lake基础上继续翻倍。从时间上来看，Panther Lake可能只是比Arrow Lake晚几个月，将是英特尔首个采用Intel 18A工艺制造的主要客户端产品。
Panther Lake将采用Cougar Cove架构的P-Core和Skymont架构的E-Core，预计不再支持超线程技术，传闻最高提供8P+32E的配置，核显则是基于Xe3-LPG架构，与Arc Celestial独显相同。根据IDM 2.0战略，英特尔计划在四年内实现五个制程节点，而Intel 18A处于其中第五个节点，将引入RibbonFET和PowerVia两大突破性技术。
Panther Lake将面向桌面和移动平台，其中在桌面平台与Arrow Lake一样，采用的是LGA 1851插座，使用的主板有可能相兼容。
